You Must Ask...and Accept

Bible Reading: Matthew 6:26

Does God really want to hear about all of your struggles and heartaches?

Yes!

In Matthew 6:26 Jesus, Himself said, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” God already knows all about your struggles and heartaches, just as he knows every detail of the lives of His simpler creations, like birds. Not only does God know about your troubles, He cares about them.

However, God won’t insert Himself into your life unless you want Him there. He won’t force you to come to Him for help or comfort.

God wants you to tell Him about your struggles and heartaches and ask Him to help and comfort you. When you do, God will jump at the chance to do what you asked.

Even after you have asked God to help and He has answered your prayer and offered you His help and comfort, God won’t force you accept His it. It is up to you to accept His help and comfort in whatever form He offers it.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m so glad that You care about my troubles. I need Your help and comfort! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
