Bible Reading: Philippians 4:19
You don’t have to beg God to take care of you. You don’t have to get down on your knees and grovel. You don’t ever have to be afraid that God will forget what you need or
refuse to take care of you.
Why?
In Philippians 4:19 we have this promise: “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Once you believed in Jesus and asked Him to be your Savior, God promised to meet all of your needs – and He knows what they are, even before you know.
However, while God wants to help you and to provide for you, He wants you to want Him to help you and take care of you. He doesn’t want to force Himself on you. God wants you to simply come to Him, tell Him what you need, and ask Him to give it to you. When you ask, God will provide.
Don’t worry that you might ask too much of God because that isn’t possible. God’s riches and ability to give far exceeds your neediness. You can never ask too much of God, you can only expect too little.
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalm 84:11
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I need You to take care of me. Thank You for promising to meet all of my needs. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
