Wednesday at the Well: Revelation 22:17 - Living Water

Bible Verses to Explore: Revelation 22:17

If you are thirsty, you know water will satisfy your thirst. You believe in water is good for a thirsty person, but believing that drinking water will stop your thirst won’t

really stop your thirst. You have to drink some water!

Jesus is like that water. Revelation 22:17 describes Jesus as “Living Water.” This verse reads: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ Everyone who hears this should also say, ‘Come!’ If anyone is thirsty, let them come; they can have the water of life as a free gift if they want it.”

If you want to experience a relationship with Jesus and receive salvation, you must do more than believe. You must “drink” the Living Water. How? Admit that you have sinned, tell God you believe Jesus died for you, and ask for God’s

forgiveness. Then you will receive salvation from sin and eternal life in heaven.

Do you believe that Jesus is God’s Son? Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sin and is now alive and in heaven waiting for you? Do you believe Jesus can satisfy your spiritual thirst?

I hope you will let Jesus satisfy your spiritual thirst by accepting Him as your Lord and Savior today. I also hope you will remember Jesus’ promise in John 4:14 which reads, “But anyone who drinks the water I give will never be thirsty again. The water I give people will be like a spring flowing inside them. It will bring them eternal life.”

Let’s pray together.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be Living Water for us. Fill us with His Holy Spirit and quench our spiritual thirst. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
