Wednesday at the Well: Psalm 106:1-3 - Thank You, God!

Bible Verses to Explore: Psalm 106:1-3

God expected the Israelites to worship and obey only Him. In return, God promised always take care of them. How did the Israelites say, “Thank You, God”?

God saved the Israelites from Pharaoh and his army at the Red Sea. The Israelites stopped worshipping God and worshipped a calf made from gold.

While they were in the desert God gave the Israelites all the food and water they needed. Their clothes never wore out, but they continued to complain.

Many times God rescued the Israelites from their enemies. Each time, the Israelites turned away from God to worship false gods and idols.

God sent his Son, Jesus, to save them from their sins and to give them eternal peace and

happiness. They rejected Him.

What an awful way to say, “Thank You, God!”

Verse 2 of today’s Bible reading says, “No one can describe how great the Lord really is. No one can praise him enough.” God is so wonderful! We can never say, “Thank You, God” often enough.

I hope your heart feels full when you read Psalm 106:1 – “Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord because he is good! His faithful love will last forever!” So you will joyfully tell God, “Thank You, God” for all of the wonderful things He does for you. I also hope you show God through your obedience that you are thankful for all He does for you.

Let’s pray together. Heavenly Father, thank You for everything You do for us. Help us to always obey You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I invite you to take a little more time to study Psalm 106:1-3 and let it fill you with even more thankfulness to God. Please, click the link, download the Inductive Study Guide, and enjoy some time of private worship and thanksgiving.
