Wednesday at the Well: Matthew 4:23 - Witness Where You Are

Bible Verses to Explore: Matthew 4:23

Do you think that because you are have never traveled overseas that you can’t really tell people about Jesus?

You don’t have to travel to far away places to serve God or tell people about Jesus. Jesus’ whole ministry happened within about 200 miles of his hometown of Nazareth. Today’s Bible verse says, “Jesus went everywhere in the country of Galilee. He taught in the synagogues and told the Good News about God’s kingdom. And he healed all the people’s diseases and sicknesses.” It wasn’t important how far from home Jesus happened to be. What was important that wherever Jesus was, He told people about God and God’s plan of salvation. Jesus did

God’s work wherever He went.

Maybe God will send you to another country to tell about Jesus. Maybe He will ask you to stay home. It doesn’t matter. People everywhere need to know about Jesus. Even people in your home and neighborhood. You can tell people about Jesus wherever you are!

Go, now. Tell the people in your house, in your neighborhood, in your school, and at your place of work about Jesus!

Witness where you are!

“But the Holy Spirit will come on you and give you power. You will be my witnesses. You will tell people everywhere about me – in Jerusalem, in the rest of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world.” Acts 1:8

Prayer: Lord God, use me wherever I am to share the good news of Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
