Bible Verses to Explore: John 8:12 & 35-36
Driving without headlights is dangerous. If we drive without headlights we might make wrong turns. We might crash with another car or into a bridge or power pole. If we want
to safely drive at night, we need headlights.
In John 8:12 Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never live in darkness. They will have the light that gives life.” Living life without the Light of the world -- Jesus -- is like driving at night without headlights.
It is dangerous to live our lives without Jesus. We need the Light, Jesus, to find our own way through life’s struggles, illnesses, hurts, and hard times. Without the Light, we are destined to make wrong turns and crash into dangerous obstacles.
I hope you will let Jesus shine on the road of your life. I hope you will follow Him and let Him lead you where God wants you to go.
I also hope you will Jesus' light shine through your life for other people to see. I also hope you will take Jesus’ words in John 12:36 to heart and“…put your trust in the light while you still have it. Then you will be children of light.”
Please pray with me. Heavenly Father, I want Jesus to be the light of my life. Help me to let His light shine through my life for other people to see. In Jesus' name. Amen.
