Bible Verses to Explore: Hebrews 11:6
Last Wednesday in our Wednesday at the Well visit, we started talking about making God happy.
We said that everything Jesus did, He did to make God happy.
We said that everything we do, we should do to make God happy.
How can we make God happy?
First we must believe. Today’s Bible reading says, “Without faith no one can please God. Whoever comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who sincerely try to find him.” If we want God to be happy, we must believe in God. We must believe that we have sinned. We must believe that we need to be saved. We must believe that Jesus died so we could
be forgiven.
Second, we must honor God. God must be the most important thing in our lives. 1 Corinthians 10:31b says that everything we do, we should do “to the glory of God.”
Finally, we must obey God’s commands. First John 5:3a says, “This is love for God: to obey his commands.”
I encourage you to go! Go and make God happy! Colossians 1:10 tells us exactly how to do that: “And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
