Wednesday at the Well: Ephesians 5:19 - Music to the Ears

Bible Verses to Explore: Ephesians 5:19

Do you like music? Why? Does music cheer you up when you are sad? Does it encourage you when you are discouraged? Does music give you hope when you feel

lost? Does it relax you when you are stressed or overworked?

Music can do all of those things. Music is a gift from God to us. Ephesians 5:19 tells us to, “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord.” God wants us to use music to worship Him and to encourage, uplift, strengthen, and give hope to one another.

Salvation is a bit like music. Knowing that God has saved us cheers, encourage, and strengthens us. Knowing that we’ve been saved gives us hope and it fills us with a peace that nothing else can give.

Why not turn on some good music and settle in your favorite chair and thank God for “…the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b).

Please pray with me.

Heavenly Father, your message of salvation is music to our ears. Thank You for saving us through our faith Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I’m glad you came today! Please take a copy of the Inductive Bible Study Guide before you leave. It’s my free gift to you.
