Wednesday at the Well: 1 Peter 5:7 - Worries

Bible Verses to Explore: 1 Peter 5:7

In today's Bible reading Peter wrote, "Cast all your anxiety on him [God] because he cares for you.”

Are you sad? Give your sorrow to God.

Are you worried? Give your worry to God.

Are you afraid? Give your fear to God.

Are you anxious? Give your anxiety to God.

It isn’t easy to let go of those things. They latch onto our minds like an octopus wrapping its tentacles around its prey.

However, you can let go of them. Give them to God. Trust God to take those sorrows, worries, fears, and anxieties from you. God won’t just take them, he’ll take care of them. Then he’ll replace them with comfort, encouragement,

strength, and peace.

What if they try to creep back into your mind again?

Give them to God again – and again, if necessary. Remember, “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.” Nahum 1:7

Shall we pray together?

Heavenly Father, here are our troubles. You can have them. Thank You for caring for us. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Thanks for praying with me…and thanks for visiting and reading today’s Wednesday at the Well article. I hope you will stay a bit longer and download the Inductive Study Guide. That way you can study today’s scripture verses more and get even more assurance of God’s loving care in your life.

God bless!
