Bible Verses to Explore: 1 Corinthians 2:6-15
Did you know that even Jesus memorized scripture?
Many times in the New Testament, Jesus quoted Old Testament scripture when He
was teaching. Jesus knew that God’s Word was powerful. He knew that scripture could convince people of the truth.
Would you like to tell people about Jesus?
Memorize Bible verses such as Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 1:12, Romans 10:9-13, and 1 Corinthians 5:17. When you have the opportunity to tell others about Jesus, God will bring those verses to your mind. These verses will give you the power to share Jesus. You may not quote them exactly, but they will guide you, and, with the help of the Holy Spirit, you will
know the right words to say.
Go ahead! You can do it! Verse 12 of our Bible reading says, “We received the Spirit that is from God, not the spirit of the world. We received God’s Spirit so that we can know all that God has given us.” God’s Spirit is in you. He will teach you all God has given us to know. You will learn God’s word and God’s truth, then you can use that knowledge of scripture to share your faith with other people.
Why?
As 1 Corinthians 2:13 says, “…we don’t use words taught to us by human wisdom. We use words taught to us by the Spirit. We use the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.”
Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, help me to learn Your words so I can share the good news of Jesus with other people. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
