Was Moses ever Afraid?

Bible Reading: Exodus 2:14a & Acts 18:9

Have you ever wondered if Paul or Moses or any of the other “greats” of the Bible got scared? They certainly experienced enough scary stuff such as shipwrecks, false arrest,

imprisonment, sudden blindness, talking, flaming bushes, snake attack, enemy attack, and wandering in the desert, just to name a few.

The Bible indicates that the “greats” did experience fear. For example, Exodus 2:14 says, “Then Moses was afraid” and Acts 18:9 says, “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.” The Bible also tells us that although they were afraid, they continued to trust and obey God.

The next time you are feeling afraid, follow the example of Paul, Moses, and the other heroes of the Bible. Continue obeying God and acting the way He’s told you to act and trust God with the outcome.

“In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?” Psalm 56:4

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m going to “keep on keeping on” even when times are scary because I trust You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
