Walls

Bible Reading: Isaiah 26:1

In Isaiah 26:1, Isaiah said, “In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts.” He was saying that

God’s salvation was like strong walls. Strong walls that protected the Israelite people from harm from their enemies.

The walls of our houses are firmly attached to the foundation of the house. That attachment gives the walls strength. That strength surrounds us and protects us from bad weather and other forces of the outside world.

God’s plan of salvation works in a similar way. Jesus is the foundation. When we ask God to forgive our sins and believe that Jesus died to take the punishment that we deserved for our sins, God erects “walls” of salvation around us. His salvation protects us from Satan’s evil attacks. It keeps us from being pushed around by temptation and allows us to resist the forces of temptation and evil.

Let God surround you with His protective “walls” of salvation today.

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3

Prayer:Heavenly Father, forgive my sins.Send Jesus to be the foundation of Your “walls” of salvation around me.In Jesus’ name.Amen
