Use Your Influence

Bible Reading: John 1:41 & 42

Do you think that your brothers or sisters don’t notice anything you do? Do they seem to be totally absorbed with their own lives?

They probably aren’t as unaware of what you are doing and saying as you may think. You probably have more influence over your brothers and sisters than anyone else does. You need to use that influence like Andrew used his influence with his brother, Peter. When Andrew found Jesus and recognized who Jesus was, Andrew was quick to persuade Peter that he needed to know Jesus, too. In fact, “The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, ‘We have found the Messiah’ (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus” (John 1:41 & 42).

You have accepted Jesus as your Savior. He is running your life. It’s important that you share Jesus’ offer of forgiveness and salvation with your brothers and sisters. Use your influence to persuade them to get to know Jesus and make Him a part of their lives. John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, and today’s memory verse, Romans 10:9 & 10, are great verses to use when telling your brothers, sisters, and friends about Jesus.

Don’t delay! Tell your family and friends about Jesus and His plan of salvation today!

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10:9 & 10

Prayer: Heavenly Father, use me to reach my brothers or sisters with Your message of salvation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
