Trade your tent for a mansion & Streets of gold

Bible Verses to Explore: 2 Corinthians 5:1-8

Death. Most people don’t like to talk about death. Death can seem so final. It can be hard to remember that the death of our earthly, human bodies is not the end of our

lives. Death is a transition.

For a Christian, death is the time when we stop living in the human body that we’ve called home. We will leave sickness, tiredness, struggles with overeating, addictions, and all other human weaknesses behind. Verse 1 in today’s Bible reading says, “We know that our body—the tent we live in here on earth—will be destroyed. But when that happens, God will have a home for us to live in. It will not be the kind of home people build here. It will be a home in heaven that will continue forever.” Death is the beginning of a new life in a new, perfect, heavenly body. A

life that will continue forever – through all eternity!

I hope you will ask Jesus to forgive your sins and give you His Holy Spirit. When you do, you will begin to see death as the beginning of a wonderful, new, eternal life in heaven, a life where we leave our tent and move into a mansion surrounded by streets of gold.

Remember, as a child of God, you can look forward to this future with confidence, just as it says in 2 Corinthians 5:8 – “So I say that we have confidence. And we really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord.”

Let’s pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for making a way for me to live forever with you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will download the study guide and build your confidence in your eternal future by examining today’s verses for more information on what that future holds.

God bless!
