Bible Reading: Psalm 62:11
Psalm 62:11 says, “One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong.” Yes, God is strong, but He doesn't keep that strength to Himself. He gives it to us
when we are weak, tired, afraid, lonely, or in need. Here are the 5 W's of God's Strength:
1. To whom does God give His strength? God gives His strength to those who believe in Him: "You are awesome, O God…the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people." – Psalm 68:35
2. When does God give His strength to believers? God gives believers His strength the moment they accept Christ as Savior: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you." – Acts 1:8
3. Where does God give His strength? God’s strength shows itself in the lives of believers where they are weak: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." – 2 Corinthians 12:9
4. Why does God give us His strength? God gives believers His power so that they will be able to serve Him and other people: '…Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you' – 2 Corinthians 13:4
5. What can we do with God’s strength? "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" – Matthew 19:26
Take a few moments and thank God for His strength and for sharing that strength with you.
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Psalm 27:8
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are truly strong. Thank You for giving me Your strength as I endeavor to honor and serve You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
