Bible Reading: Psalm 4:3
Do you remember when you lost your first tooth? When that tooth fell out of your mouth, it became something special. In a way, that tooth was sanctified. It became
different from all the rest of the teeth in your mouth, separated from the rest of your teeth by the distance between your mouth and your hand, and set apart for a special purpose. That tooth was destined for the tooth fairy and would earn you some money!
When you accepted Christ as your Savior, God sanctified you. Psalm 4:3 says, “Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.” God set you apart from those without Christ and He chose you for a special purpose – to love Him, worship Him, serve Him.
Remember how happy and excited that “sanctified” tooth made you feel?
Imagine how happy and excited it makes God feel to know that you are sanctified for Him!
“… you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world…” John 15:19
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m so glad that You’ve set me apart for Your special purpose! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
