Bible Reading: Matthew 17:3
You’ve never met me, nor have I met you, but we may well know each other when we get to heaven. The Bible doesn’t tell us a lot about what relationships will be like in
heaven, but it gives us some hints.
For example, the disciples had never met Moses and Elijah. These two men had lived hundreds of years before the disciples. However, the disciples recognized Moses and Elijah when they saw them at the transfiguration. Matthew 17:3 says “Just then there appeared before them [the disciples] Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.” That Biblical hint seems to indicate that when we get to heaven, God will give us the gift of greater knowledge and a greater memory. We will probably be able to recognize people we never met while on earth!
Isn’t that amazing?
See you there!
“Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12
Prayer: Heavenly Father, the life You have planned for us in heaven is amazing! It’s too wonderful for me to fully understand. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
