Bible Reading: Philippians 4:19
Do you promise to give money to every person who asks for it or to buy Christmas or birthday presents for everyone in your city or town?
Probably not. Some things are reserved for special friends; those people with whom we spend the most time, agree with on important issues, share common goals or plans, and like being with and who like being with us in return.
God, too, has promised special blessings to his “friends” – those who spend time with Him, share His views and goals, and have trusted Him to forgive their sins and take control of their lives. One of those promises is found in Philippians 4:19. This verse says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Wow! What a wonderful promise!
The Bible contains many other such promises for those who have confess their sins to God and claimed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
I hope you are one of God’s friends. If not, why don’t you become one of God’s close friends right now? He’s eagerly waiting to give you all of the wonderful things that He has promised to those who have become His friends through faith in Jesus Christ.
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:20
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for all of Your wonderful promises! I want Jesus as my Special Friend and Savior right now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
