Children of Light

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Life changes.

My life has changed.

As a result, I am discontinuing this website/blog.

I have posts planned through June 26, 2023. After that, I plan to continue to write and share my devotions and artwork via my social media accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, and True Social. (If you use a different social media platform and would prefer to have me share on it, let me know and I will consider opening an account on that platform.)

If you would like to continue reading my posts, you may follow me on one of the above social media platforms. I am considering sending my posts to subscribers. If you are interested in receiving a weekly email from me with that week’s post, let me know and I will consider the level of interest in my thought process.

Thank you for faithfully following and reading my posts for the past few years.

God bless!

Gayle

Bible Reading: Ephesians 5:8

Caves are fascinating. One thing about them really stands out – they are dark! If you go into a cave without a light, you can’t see a thing. That’s because in order for our

eyes to see there must at least a glimmer of light. When you are in a pitch-dark cave, your eyes become fully dilated, constantly searching for the slightest bit of light. At that point, even the light from a candle or a single match would be a shock to your eyes!

Before Jesus came into your life, you were stumbling around the world as though you were in a pitch-dark cave, unable to see your way to God.

Now that you have Jesus in your life, your world is filled with Light! With Jesus the way to God and the ways of God are brightly lit. You can clearly see what God expects and how He wants you to live.

Before Jesus, according to Ephesians 5:8, you were a child of “darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” Now you are a child of Light. Live like one!

“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.” 1 Thessalonians 5:5

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for lighting up my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
