Bible Reading: Romans 6:4
Have you recently accepted Christ as your Savior?
If so, you may be in “Now what?” mode, trying to figure out what you should do next.
Roman’s 6:4 gives us the answer saying, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Simply put, once you have given your life to Jesus Christ, you should begin living a new life.
You can’t live a new life under your own power, You need to allow God give you your marching orders. You need to talk to God, asking for His guidance. You need to begin reading the Bible, letting God teach you. You need to listen to God, letting His words soak in deeply. You need to submit to God, doing what He tells you to do. You need to spend time with other believers worshipping God. When you do, God will use that time to encourage you to keep marching down the road on which He has placed you. Finally, you need to trust God. He has a specific plan for your life. He knows the best way for you to serve Him. Let God direct you.
“If you love me, you will obey what I command.” John 14:15
Prayer: Heavenly Father, “Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me” (Psalm 31:3). In Jesus’ name. Amen.
