Bible Reading: Romans 5:1-8
Do you believe that you are friendless, that no one loves you, that you, in fact, are unlovable?
Loneliness and despair strike us al at one time or another. When we feel the most unlovable, we can convince ourselves that even God can’t possible love us.
However, God says that isn’t true. Romans 5:8 tells a completely different story saying, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God loves us so much that when we were at our most unlovable – when we were determined to keep doing things our own way, bury ourselves in sin, and ignore God – He sent His Only Son, Jesus, to die in our place. God didn’t wait for us to change and become lovable. He gave His best for us before we even knew we were unlovable.
It doesn’t matter to God how unlovable you or anyone else thinks you are, no one is unlovable in God's eyes. God loves you and wants you in His family!
“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m so glad that You love me. I’m sorry that I ever doubted Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
