Bible Reading: Ephesians 5:1-2
Preach. Teach. Sing in church. Lead a Bible study. Become a missionary.
Those are some ways to serve God, but not all of us are able to serve God in those “high
profile” positions.
There is one way that we can all serve God. Ephesians 5:1 and 2 says, “Be imitators of Jesus, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” This verse tells us about one thing that God says we can all do to serve Him:
Imitate Jesus - God.
Live a godly life
That puts other people before our selves
And shows unconditional love
To other people –
Just like God!
Ask God to help you be the best Jesus-imitator that you can be!
“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” 1 Peter 2:21
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to be like You so that others will see You though my life and want to be like You, too. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
