Bible Reading: Psalm 32:10
We sickness, accidents, war, unemployment, or other hard times collide with our lives, often our first response is to ask God to take those things away. We want Him to
make everything better. We don’t want to have to think about or live with such difficulties.
However, God might choose to allow us to continue facing those struggles. Perhaps to “toughen us up.” Perhaps to help us learn patience. Perhaps to help us better understand others so we can help them through similar circumstances or perhaps for no reason that we can identify at all.
Regardless of what the problem that we face is or why God chooses to let us face it, God has promised to protect us and to help us face it. Psalm 32:10 contains this promise: “… the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.” If we trust God, He will surround us with a wall of His unfailing love that will protect us during even the hardest of times.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
