God Really Does Love You!

Bible Reading: 2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17

In today’s Bible verses Paul spoke these words to the people of the church in Thessalonica…and to us: “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who

loved

us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.”

God does love you, just as Paul said. God wants to encourage you and reassure you of that fact.

Fill in the blanks in the following verses and paraphrases of verses with your name. Then write them inside the cover of your Bible, tape them to your mirror, fasten them to the front of your refrigerator with magnets. Each time you begin to doubt God’s love for you, read them through and let God, Himself, reassure you that God loves you!

“For God so loved ________that he gave his one and only Son, that if ________believes in him _______shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

“But God demonstrates his own love for ________ in this: While _______ was still a sinner, Christ died for _________” (Romans 5:8).

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loves ________ and by his grace gave _________ eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage ________ heart and strengthen ________ in every good deed and word” (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17).

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on ________, that ________ should be called a child of God!” (1 John 3:1).

“________ loves God because he first loved _________” (1 John 4:19).

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38 & 39

Prayer: Heavenly Father, it feels good to be reminded of how much You love me! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
