Bible Reading: Psalm 62:8
“Where do babies come from?”
Almost every preschooler asks his mom or dad that question. However,
preschoolers aren’t mature enough to be able to understand the complete answer so moms and dads may choose to give the child either a partial answer or may refuse to answer the question entirely. Because mom and dad know what is best for their son or daughter, they can’t or won’t always tell the child everything he or she wants to know.
There are times when we have questions to which God chooses to provide only partial answers or which He may chose not to answer at all. When God chooses to give us answers that aren’t as complete as we would like, we can choose to argue and pout or we can choose to accept the answer that God does give, knowing that, like the parents of that preschooler, God knows best. We need to “Trust in him at all times,…pour out…[our] hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to accept Your answers to my prayers. I really do believe that You know best. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
