God Is Good!

Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 5:13

In 2 Chronicles 5:13 we read about this celebration of God’s goodness: “The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to

the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: ‘He is good; his love endures forever.’”

Now, grab a pad and pencil (or call up the notepad on your computer, tablet, or smartphone) and jot down five things that God had done for you in the past week (very likely, He has done much more for you). Now read your list back to yourself.

God really is good! Let’s all sing about together God’s goodness:

“God is so good.

God is so good.

God is so good.

He’s so good to me!”

From the simplest things like helping you find a pencil to do this “assignment” to helping you cope with the grief of losing a loved one and other complex issues, God is always there. He has all of the right answers and the best solutions to all of your problems.

Thank God today for His goodness to you. Perhaps you could make up a tune and use the Israelites song in today’s verse as your praise and prayer to God. Maybe you could sing some other song of praise or play a praise song on a musical instrument like the Israelites. Use your imagination and find a way to say, “Thank you” to God for His goodness to you.

“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:25

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are so-o-o good to me! Thank You! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
