God is always there

Bible Reading: Matthew 10:33

No one wants to be rejected. Not even Jesus who said in Matthew 10:33, “But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” We all want

others to love us and accept us for who we are, but, the reality is, sooner or later, someone, somewhere, will reject us.

When that rejection comes, as it surely will, we can be comforted by the fact that we aren’t alone. Jesus, God’s own Son, the perfect, loving, patient, kind, generous, compassionate Savior of the world was rejected – over and over and OVER!

Jesus was –

* Asked to leave many places (Mark 5:17).

* Hit (Mark 14:65).

* Spit on (Matthew 27:30).

* Ridiculed (Matthew 11:16-19.

* Plotted against (Matthew 22:15).

* Denied with curses (Matthew 26:72).

People even demanded proof of Jesus’ claims that He is God then refused to accept the proof!

It was no surprise to Jesus that people rejected Him. He knew people would reject Him – and us.

Happily, Jesus has promised that He would never, ever reject us. Jesus, Himself said in Matthew 28:20, “…Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”

“For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.” Psalm 94:14

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m so glad I can count on You to always be there for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
