Clearing a Cluttered Mind

Bible Reading: Philippians 3:15 & 16

It can be so easy to be flooded by information. At the least, information overload can be frustrating and confusing. At the worst, it can jeopardize our spiritual lives.

When we have been subjected to ideas that differ from what we’ve been taught, we need to quickly evaluate the information. We need to decide if it is consistent with God’s message to us in the Bible. If it’s not, we need to just as quickly dump the misinformation and replace it with the true facts from the Bible.

If you are uncertain as to what the truth is, tell God your dilemma. Philippians 3:15 & 16 tells us that, “All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.” God will clear away the clutter and He’ll make the truth crystal clear in your mind.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’ve heard some confusing things. Show me the truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
