Bible Reading: Romans 5:8
I love today’s portion of “The Christmas Creed!” This part of the creed talks about how God sees us. It is very encouraging. It fills me with hope and joy! Here’s what this
part of “The Christmas Creed” says:
“I believe in the one…who looked at persons and made them see what God’s love saw in them...”
What is it that God sees when He looks at each one of us?
He sees His beautiful, artistic creation (Ephesians 2:10).
He sees His children (1 John 3:1).
He sees His holy, chosen beloved ones (Colossians 3:12).
He sees His own holy, special possessions (1 Peter 2:9).
Our Heavenly Father sees all of these things in us before we confess and repent of our sins. He sees these things before we give our hearts and lives to Jesus. Romans 5:8 says it this way: “But Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and by this God showed how much he loves us.”
It is because of this deep, undying, unconditional love for us that caused God to send Jesus, His Son, to die in our place to give us His hope, eternal life, and strength in exchange for our hopelessness, despair, lifelessness, and weakness (John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 2:9-10).
Have you accepted the Father’s great love for you? Have you turned from your sin and welcomed Jesus into your life?
If not, please accept God’s free gift of salvation now.
If so, please pause and thank God for your salvation through faith in Jesus and all that comes with that special gift.
“And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love – how wide, how long, how high, and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with everything God has for you.” Epesians 3:18 & 19
Prayer: Heavenly Father, the depth of Your love for us is overwhelming! Thank You for loving us so much. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
