IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Life changes.
My life has changed.
As a result, I am discontinuing this website/blog.
I have posts planned through June 26, 2023. After that, I plan to continue to write and share my devotions and artwork via my social media accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, and True Social. (If you use a different social media platform and would prefer to have me share on it, let me know and I will consider opening an account on that platform.)
If you would like to continue reading my posts, you may follow me on one of the above social media platforms. I am considering sending my posts to subscribers. If you are interested in receiving a weekly email from me with that week’s post, let me know and I will consider the level of interest in my thought process.
Thank you for faithfully following and reading my posts for the past few years.
God bless!

Bible Reading: Judges 3:7
Judges 3:7 says, “The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD; they forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs.” The Israelites forgot God! They
forgot what God wanted them to be doing and how He wanted them to be living. They forgot God and they turned to false Gods.
Sadly, we often do the same thing.
We get so busy with work, school, sporting events, shopping, parties, movies, vacations that it sometimes seems that there is hardly time left to sleep!
I suspect that if we didn’t keep busy, we’d become bored – fast! God created us to use our bodies and minds. He didn’t expect us to be couch potatoes, sitting around doing nothing.
However, if we become so busy that we don’t have time or energy to read our Bibles and pray every day or regularly go to church services, youth meetings, or Sunday school classes, we’ve become too busy. When we are too busy for God, we have turned all of the other activities in our lives into gods, like the Baals and Asherahs that the Israelites worshipped. We’ve become like the Israelites in today’s verse and have done evil by forgetting God.
Do you need to thin out a few extra activities to make room for God in your daily life?
“In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” Proverbs 3:6 (TLB)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me for forgetting to make time for You. Help me to do that from now on. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
