Best Friend

Bible Reading: Proverbs 18:24

Who do you talk to when you want to share some good news…or some bad news? Who do you spend time with when you want to “Just talk?” Whose company do you enjoy

most? Who is your favorite person to share a good laugh with? Who is the first person you tell when you have a really great idea?

Do you go to a stranger?

No. You go to a friend.

Jesus is the best friend you can have. Proverbs 18:24 tells us that Jesus “is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Jesus is always there, always available, and always willing to listen to your news – good or bad. He’s always willing to let you talk about your thoughts, ideas, and newfound knowledge and He’s always willing to share His thoughts with you. He’s also willing to simply enjoy being with you and to let you simply enjoy being with Him.

Jesus truly is the “friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Jesus is your best friend.

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m so glad that Jesus is my best friend. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
