Attention!

Bible Reading: Ezekiel 16:23, 24

Ezekiel 16:23 & 24 says, “‘Woe! Woe to you,’ declares the Sovereign LORD. ‘In addition to all your other wickedness, you built a mound for yourself and made a lofty shrine in

every public square.’” These verses are talking about a time when the people of Jerusalem had pushed God aside and elevated themselves. They had ignored God and His laws. Instead, they chose to do whatever they could to bring attention and glory to themselves. God was heartbroken because of their unfaithfulness. He wanted them back as His faithful, obedient children.

Have you pushed God aside? Has getting attention for yourself become more important to you than keeping your attention on God?

God is heartbroken. He desperately wants you back as his faithful, obedient child.

Tear your attention away from yourself and refocus your eyes and your life on God. When you do, you will bring a smile to God’s face and He will bring joy to your life.

“…Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.” Revelation 14:7

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m so sorry that I was selfishly seeking attention for myself. I’m turning my attention back to you right now! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
