Bible Reading: Ephesians 4:7-13
Are you outgoing? Are you comfortable speaking in front of a group? Are you able to put your thoughts and the things that you’ve learned into words easily? Are you capable
of explaining almost anything to almost anyone?
If so, Ephesians 4:11 could be talking about you. This verse says, “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers.” That means you may have the gift of teaching, pastoring, or evangelism. How can you know for sure? Ask God to help you confirm whether he has given you one of these gifts. Talk to your pastor, your parents, and other mature Christians. Ask what they think.
If you become convinced that God has gifted you with the ability to teach, pastor, or share the gospel, go back to God and your pastor and begin exploring ways to use your gift.
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to know what gifts You’ve given to me and how You want me to use them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
