Bible Reading: Acts 22:14
“Then he said: `The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth.”
Does the thought of talking to God – The Holy One, The Perfect One, The Righteous One – seem overwhelming? Intimidating? Terrifying?
Do you think it’s impossible that someone so awesome and powerful could possibly love you or want to save you? Does it seem unbelievable that He would want you to be in heaven with Him or that He could have a special plan for your life?
It’s true. God does love you. God does want to save you. God does want you to be in heaven with Him. God does have a special plan for your life.
However, God won’t force His love, forgiveness, and friendship on you. He wants you to choose to come to Him.
Why are you still hesitating? Follow the advice found in Hebrews 4:16 which says, “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it” (NLT; emphasis added). Be bold! Talk to God today!
“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.” Deuteronomy 30 15 & 16
