Balancing Your Load

Updated: Mar 25, 2020

Bible Reading: Proverbs 6:6

In Proverbs 6:6, Solomon gives us advice: “Go to the ant…consider its ways and be wise.” Let’s do that.

Have you ever watched a tiny ant carrying a huge crumb and wondered how it kept from losing its balance and falling over under the weight of its load? Even when walking a flower stem or a thin blade of grass, the ant seems perfectly balanced.

If God can give such a tiny creature the confidence and strength to keep going under such a heavy load, you can be certain that He can and will do the same for you. Even when the load of your troubles and responsibilities seems overwhelmingly heavy, God will give you the confidence and strength to keep going.

However, unlike the ant who must carry his load alone, God is always with you, willing to help you carry your load of troubles and responsibilities. He’s just waiting for you to ask Him for His help.

“For each one should carry his own load.” Galatians 6:5

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for helping me to carry my load. The weight of it is too much for me to carry alone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
