Waiting on God

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:31 (NJKV)

We all seem to spend a lot of time standing in lines, listening to “elevator music” while on hold, and sitting in doctors’ or dentists’ offices. Waiting takes up a lot of our time

tiring. Waiting on God is energizing and refreshing. While we patiently wait for Him to do the things that He has promised to do, God strengthens and revives us, preparing us to accept His response at just the right time. That’s the promise we find in Isaiah 41:31 (NKJV) which says, “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

Are you waiting on God to do something in your life right now?

If so, relax and let God’s infinite strength energize and prepare you.

“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” Psalm 27:14 (NIV)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the strength to wait patiently on Your timing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
