Bible Verse to Explore: Psalm 119:48

Let’s jump right in…

Psalm 119:48 says this: “I reach out my hands for your commandments, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.” Do you love God’s word with the same depth as the

psalmist did? Would you like to read through the Bible but don’t know where to begin? Does the Bible seem too much to handle? Check out these ideas for making reading through the Bible a manageable project:

  1. Start at Genesis and read one chapter each day. (You’ll read through the Bible in three years.)

  2. Start and Genesis and read three chapters each day. (This will get you through the

Bible in one year.)

  1. Visit https://bibleplan.org/ and sign up to receive an email with a daily Bible reading. (How long it will take to read through the Bible depends on which Bible reading plan you select.)

  2. Go to http://www.biblegateway.com/devotionals/ and sign up to receive one of their many devotional books to help guide you through the Bible.

  3. Read the daily devotional articles here at PH121-Today, Tomorrow, & Forever! being sure to look-up and read the Bible verses that go with each devotional.

Whether you read the Bible by yourself or ask a friend to read it with you, reading the Bible is time well spent.

Which plan will you try?

My prayer for you is that you will say with the psalmist, “Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long” (Psalm 119:97).

Let’s pray together. Heavenly Father, remind us to read Your Word every day. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Now it’s time to for you get started. Click on the logo, download the Inductive Study Guide, and take a small bite out of God’s word by doing a bit of study on Psalm 119:48. Enjoy your time in the word!
