Share the Joy

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: Psalm 92:4

There’s an old expression that starts, “When you laugh, the world laughs with you.” It’s always fun to share good news and happy times with friends and family. When you do,

your joy, excitement, and happiness will spill over into their lives as they “laugh with you.”

King David said in Psalm 92:4, “For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands.” David shared God’s joy. God’s joy made David joyful which, in turn, filled God with more joy. David rejoiced in the Lord and the Lord rejoiced to have David, “a man after God’s own heart,” (See Acts 13:22) as a part of God’s family.

God would like to be able to share your happiness and “laugh with you,” too. Why not use the following “share the joy” campaign and let God join in your happiness.

* Read a psalm of joy such as Psalm 21, Psalm 100, Psalm 105, Psalm 149, or Psalm 150.

* Tell God why you are so happy.

* Thank God for the event that made you happy and for the happiness itself.

* Tell a friend about the happiness that God gave you.

I hope you will begin to share the joy of the Lord with God and others today!

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4

Prayer: Heavenly Father, you have been so good to me. Thank you for the happiness I have in my life right now.
