Never too Young

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: 1 Timothy 4:12

When you were two, you were “too young” to go to school. When you were five, you were “too young” to cross the street alone. At ten, you were “too young” to drive.

While those things were true at that time, you are no longer “too young” to do those things. As time passes, you “grew into” those things, but there may still be some things that you are “too young” to do.

However there are two things that you are never “too young” to do.

One is accept Jesus as your Savior. Simply tell God that you’re sorry for your sins and that you believe that Jesus died for you. You can do that at any age. When you do, you will have accepted Jesus as your Savior.

The second thing that you are never “too young” to do is tell other people about Jesus and the free gift of salvation that he gave you and wants to give to them. Even small children can share their faith in Jesus with others.

Remember the words of Paul to Timothy in today’s Bible reading: “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young…” Take those words to heart and remember that you are never “too young” to accept Jesus and share Him with others, and it is never too soon either.

“So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.” 2 Timothy 1:8

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want Jesus to come into my life and save me then help me begin telling my friends about You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
