Put Your Life in Order

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 14:33

Is your life out of control? That’s isn’t God’s plan for you. 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us, “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” Just as God is orderly, He wants us to live

orderly lives.

Trying to regain control from total chaos can be an overwhelming task, but God does expect us to live orderly lives, and, with God’s help, you can get your life under control again. Here are some steps to take:

* Ask God for help. Admit to Him that you can’t keep your life in order without His help.

* Give God control of every detail of your life. He is a master organizer.

* Work on putting one area of your life in order at a time. Is your room a mess? Clean it. If even cleaning your room seems like too big a job to start with, clean the closet or a dresser drawer.

* When you have that one area in order, choose a second area and put it in order.

* Keep going, ordering one part of your life at a time.

* Pay attention to God’s prompting as you begin to put your life in order. He may begin to point out other areas of your life that you need to put in order or place under His control. Be willing to listen and obediently respond to Him.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Prayer: Heavenly Father, take control of my life and help me to put it back in order. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
