Wednesday at the Well: Matthew 16:13-16 - Who Is Jesus?

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Verses to Explore: Matthew 16:13-16

Who is Jesus?

God said that Jesus is his Son.

Jesus is also our Creator (1 Corinthians 8:6), our Provider (Acts 14:17), our Redeemer (1 Corinthians 1:30), Our Mediator (Romans 8:34), our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9), and our Master (Luke 17:13).

Do you believe that Jesus is all of those things?

Have you done anything to show Jesus that you believe that he is all of those things?

The best way to show Jesus that you believe that he is the Son of God and your

Creator, Provider, Redeemer, Mediator, Lord, and Master, is to tell Jesus that you believe that he is also something more: your Savior. Romans 10:9 says, “If you openly say, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved.” That means if you tell God that you believe that Jesus is God and Jesus died for you, you will be forgiven and saved. That free gift of forgiveness and salvation is the only way to heaven.

I hope you will tell Jesus that you believe He is your Savior right now. I hope you will ask Him to forgive you. I hope you allow Jesus to become a part of your life today. After all, God, Himself said, “A voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, the one I love. I am very pleased with him” (Matthew 3:17).

Let’s pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to die in our place. We understand that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Forgive our sins. We want to live with You and Jesus for all eternity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
