Wednesday at the Well: 1 Corinthians 15:3 & 4 - WDJD

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Verses to Explore: I Corinthians 15:3 & 4

A few years ago it bracelets with the letters WWJD on them were popular. WWJD stands for “What would Jesus do?” The bracelets and the question they asked were worn

to remind us to think before we did or said anything and consider whether or not what we were about to do or say would please God.

However, before we can ask, “What would Jesus do?” we first need the answer to another question: WDJD --“What did Jesus do?”

Jesus gave up his life and all his desires to make a way for you and me to get to heaven. He did that when he came to earth to live a perfect life as a man. He died a cruel death on the cross to take the

punishment for your sin and my sin. He defeated death by raising to life again and is now in heaven with God, his Father, waiting. He is waiting for you to believe in him and ask him to be a part of your life so that someday you will join him in heaven.

Why did Jesus do this? Romans 5:8 tells us the answer. This verse says, “Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and by this God showed how much he loves us.”

Now the question is: WWYD--What will you do? Now that you know that Jesus gave up His life for you, will you give your life to Him? Remember, “Christ himself suffered when he died for you, and with that one death he paid for your sins. He was not guilty, but he died for people who are guilty. He did this to bring all of you to God” (1 Peter 3:18).

Let’s pray together. Heavenly Father, forgive our sins. We want Jesus in our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
