Timing

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 22:31

For a car’s engine to run smoothly the timing must be set correctly. If the timing is off, the engine may run too fast or too slow or the car may try to keep running even after

the key is turned off. A stretched timing chain or a chain that has jumped to different sprocket on the gear can cause a car’s timing to be off.

However, God’s timing is always perfect. He never acts too soon nor does He wait too long. Why? “As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless.” Everything that is totally under God’s control always runs just the way He wants it to run. When the timing of things in our life seems off, it could be because we are trying to “set the timing” ourselves rather than accept God’s timing.

Is your life totally under God’s control? Are you consistently trusting God’s timing in your life or are you still struggling to “set the timing” yourself?

I pray that you and I will always trust God and His perfect plan for our lives!

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 29:11

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to trust Your timing and Your plan for my life. Help me to let go of my life and turn it over to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
