Wordless Witnessing

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: Psalm 17:7

God loves us. He has shown us His love by sending Jesus to take the punishment that we deserve. God shows His love daily by taking care of and protecting those who

have believed in Jesus and have turned to God. God wants us to tell other people about the love and forgiveness that He wants to give them.

As important as it is to tell others about Jesus, sadly, we sometimes find ourselves in situations that are unfriendly or even hostile to Christians or we have trouble finding the right words. Thankfully, God loves us and cares for us even in these difficult situations. When King David was in this kind of situation, he called out to God saying in Psalm 17:7, “Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.” David asked God to show Himself to people that would never listen to David’s testimony about God’s love, faithfulness, and forgiveness.

There ways that God can show Himself to people through us without our having to say a word – wordless witnessing. For example, we can smile at the sad person, sit with the lonely person, carry the load of the overburdened person, give assistance to the needy person.

PH121: Today, Tomorrow, & Forever would like to share your “Wordless Witnessing” with other believers. Comment below and tell us how you share Jesus without a word.

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Prayer: Heavenly Father, show me how to show Jesus to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
