Bible Verse to Explore: Psalm 66:1 & Psalm 100:1
Are you feeling good? I mean, really good? Are you looking for a way to express just how happy you are? Why not follow the psalmist's advice in today's Bible reading: "Shout
with joy to God, all the earth!" (Psalm 66:1)
Share you good feelings with God. Thank Him for the good stuff that He’s sent your way. Invite Him to celebrate with you.
How can you do this? Try writing an "I’m so happy and here’s the reason why” poem.
Not sure how to begin? Read Psalm 66 or Psalm 100 for a couple of examples.
Next, write your own poem (it doesn’t have to rhyme!) that:
* Tells God how happy (joyful) you are because He is in your life.
* Tells God why you are so happy, mentioning some of the things He has done for you.
* Thanks God for what He did that made your happiness (joy) possible.
* Tells God how much you love Him for taking such good care of you.
That’s it. Four lines (or more if you wish) and you’ve returned some of the joy God gave you right back to him!
What a great way to worship!
Let’s pray. Heavenly Father, we’re so happy, Lord, and You are the reason why. Thank You for filling us with the joy of the Lord! In Jesus' name. Amen.
Now it’s time for you to download the Inductive Study Guide and dive into the word by exploring today’s Bible verses a bit more and writing that poem we talked about earlier. Then use the joy that God has placed in your heart to praise and glorify God. As you share your happiness you have received from God with God, I assure you that He will fill you with even more!
