Wednesday at the Well: 1 Peter 4:7-11 - Reach Out & Help Someone

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Verses to Explore: 1 Peter 4:7-11

Verse 10 of today's Bible reading gives us clear instructions. As Christians, we are to use "whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its

various forms."

How many ways can you think of to reach out and help other people? Why not brainstorm and make a list. Don’t judge the ideas as good or bad yet; just write down every idea you can think of. Talk to your family members, teachers, friends, pastor, and co-workers. Ask for their ideas. Add them to your list. Take two or three days or maybe even a week to make your list.

Once you have a nice, long list of ideas of how you can help others, pray. Ask God to show you which of these ideas he wants you to put into action.

Look over the list again and listen for God’s answer. Circle the ideas that you believe God is telling you to do. Download the Inductive Study Guide and study and meditate seriously on 1 Peter 4:7-11. You might even explore Romans 12:13, while you’re at it.

Then, go! Reach out and help someone!

Heavenly Father, help us to honor You by serving other people. In Jesus' name. Amen.
