God Will Never Let You Down

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Bible Reading: Isaiah 28:16

Take a few minutes and think about the following questions:

* Do you try to do everything yourself?

* Do you tend to react to the unknown with panic?

* Do you worry about things that you can’t control?

* Do you create mental lists of worst-case scenarios?

* Do you often refuse to ask for help or refuse offers of help?

* Do you think that you can handle anything that comes your way?

* Do you struggle daily to control your life?

* Do you feel like you are losing control?

* Do you refuse to give up old habits even though you know that they are harmful for you?

If you answered, “Yes,” to any of the above questions, it may be time for you to “let go and let God” take control of your life. When God manages your life and your time, there is no need to worry, panic, or struggle for solutions. He is a firm foundation upon which you can depend. That’s what we read in Isaiah 28:16 – “So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: ‘See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.’” Nothing, not even the greatest earthquake can weaken Him or make Him less reliable. When you trust God to take care of you and do your worrying for you, you can relax and enjoy God’s blessings. God will never let you down.

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7 & 8

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m ready now to let go and trust You to manage my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
