Wednesday at the Well: Revelation 3:11 - Hold On!

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Today’s Bible Verse to Explore: Revelation 3:11

Someday, Jesus will come back again. In fact, in Revelation 3:11, Jesus says, “I am coming soon. Hold on to the faith you have, so that no one can take away your crown.” Jesus

wants us to

“hold on” to the faith we have in Him. We should never stop believing in Him.

Jesus also wants us to “hold on” to the truth we have been taught. He wants us to continually pray, read our Bibles, fellowship with and encourage each other, and obey God. He wants us to be careful to avoid giving in to the temptation to sin. He wants us to always do what it right.

Finally, Jesus wants us to “hold on” to the hope that we have. Because Jesus died on the cross we have the hope that He will come again. We have the hope that we will live with Him forever in heaven. He wants us to never abandon that hope. He wants us to share that hope with everyone we meet, just as it says in Hebrews 10:23, “We must hold on to the hope we have, never hesitating to tell people about it. We can

trust God to do what he promised.”

My prayer is that you will always hold on to your faith in Jesus, the truth about Him, and the hope of living with Him forever, just as Jesus said in Revelation 2:25, “Only hold on to the truth you have until I come.”

Heavenly Father, help us to hold on until Jesus comes again. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

While you are waiting for Jesus’ return, I encourage you to click on the logo, download the study guide, and do some deeper exploration of Revelation 3:11. If you want, you can also dig in to the other two verses in this article, Hebrews 10:23 and Revelation 2:25. Enjoy your time with God!
