Bible Reading: 1 Peter 1:23
In order for a seed’s hard shell to crack open and sprout into a new plant, the seed needs water. Water softens the shell and starts the action inside the seed that causes the
plant to push through the cracked shell and begin its new life.
When we hear the message that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, a seed is planted in our lives. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.” When we believe that and let Christ come into our lives and become our Lord and Savior, we have let the hard shell of our self-sufficiency crack open so that we can emerge as a new creation and begin growing in the form of Christ.

You can let this seed grow by accepting Jesus into your heart and life and by spending time getting to know Him and His way of life by regularly praying, reading the Bible, and attending a Bible-believing church.
I hope you let God’s “seed” take root in your heart today!
“But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” Luke 8:15
Prayer: Heavenly Father, let the seed of the truth that Jesus is God and that He died for me take root in my heart. Help me now to grow life with you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
