Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 32:4
Rock was the primary building material in Bible times. It was strong. It never changed its shape or shifted its position. Rock was the perfect foundation.
Today’s Bible reading talks about another rock: “He [Jesus] is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” Jesus is our Rock. He is Strength. He is immovable and unchangeable.
When we build our lives on God’s Son, Jesus, and make Him the foundation of our lives, He gives us His strength – His very self – and nothing and no one can move Him away from us. He will always be there to protect and defend us. He will forever be our refuge, a place to which we can go when we are hurting or afraid. Jesus is truly the only foundation on which we can build our lives that is rock solid.

Go to Jesus today and ask Him to let you build your life on the Rock.
“As you come to him [Jesus], the living Stone – rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him – you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:4
